1) I intend to grow my business with my initial business idea and then sell the business for a large return.
2) I would like to stay connected to a business created by me. But I think that this venture isn’t the one that I would like to continue working with for my entire life. Thus, I would like to sell this business and then start a new business out of the money I receive, a venture that I myself would enjoy contributing my entire life towards. Also, I think that after a certain time, there would be a lot of competitors who would make changes to their current model and start delivering similar services. So, I would like to sell it to one such company as it would also help them expand their service hugely and get much ahead of the competition.
3) I think that my exit strategy did influence my decisions throughout the concept to a certain extent. I mostly focused mostly on the initial set up and only some upgrades in the future but didn’t quite focus on further improving it on a long term basis.
Hey Tarang,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, my exit strategy was the backbone of my whole venture. One of the first things I thought about was "Where do I see myself actually going with this?" This guided my beginning strategy when my service would hit the market, and it guided my decision making throughout the process. Sometimes I think it's better to start a venture by considering what the end goal is. Great post!
Hi Tarang,
ReplyDeleteI also intend to eventually sell my business for a large return since I didn't feel as though the business I created would be one where I want to stay in for a majority of my working life. It is really great that you have recognized a very unique business concept where you know could end up being the future of rental car services. This way, you can be ambitious with how much you sell your business for and can be picky in who you want to sell it to. Great post!
